Christmas Masses, December 24th and 25th.

Masses for the Nativity of the Lord were on Christmas Eve at 4:00 p.m. with Fr. Linus, and on Christmas morning at 10:00 a.m.

Christmas Flower Memorials

To honor a loved one at Christmas, consider a memorial of flowers. These flowers decorate our altar at Christmas.

Christmas Cookie Bake Sale was held Sunday, December 14

Once again our annual cookie sale was sponsored by the Ladies Altar Sodality.

Altar Sodality Christmas Dinner, Tuesday, December 2, 6:00 p.m.

The Altar Sodality held its annual Christmas dinner in the Parish Hall on Tuesday, December 2.

Advent began Sunday, November 30

Advent began on November 30 with the lighting of the first candle on the Advent Wreath.

Council of Catholic Women Day of Prayer on Thursday, October 2

St. Mary parish and Ss. Peter and Paul were honored to host the autumn Meeting and Day of Prayer of the Council of Catholic Women (CCW) for the Vicariate at St. Mary’s parish center.

The day was a chance to renew your spirituality and learn about CCW activities, all while meeting ladies from the other 30 parishes in the Vicariate.

The day opened with registration and breakfast, followed by Fr. Linus Umoren, C.M., celebrating Mass. Fr. Sebastian Ukoh, C.M., spoke on “The Missionary Influence and My Path to Priesthood.” Buffet lunch was offered along with .......

Church Picnic on Sunday, September 21

Celebrating our 24th year, St. Mary and St John United Church of Christ held our autumn church picnic on Sunday, September 21, on church grounds on Meyer Avenue under the tents as well as in our air-conditioned hall.

Our spectacular church picnic featured a silent auction, a country store, bake sale, raffles, games for younger and older children, bingo, and live music in addition to our famous fried chicken dinner.

Altar Sodality Spring Dinner Meeting, April 22

The ladies’ spring dinner meeting was on Tuesday, April 22, in the parish hall.

Holy Week Liturgies

The following Holy Week liturgies were held.

• Mass of the Lord’s Supper
• Good Friday with Stations of the Cross
• Easter Vigil Mass
• Easter Sunday Mass

Lenten Stations of Cross

Stations of the Cross were offered every Wednesday during Lent, followed by Wednesday Mass

Lenten Fish Fries at the Parish Hall

Fish Fries were held on March 21, March 28, April 4, and April 11.
